Hi, my name is Robert Surroca
I will be your music teacher. I was born in Havana, Cuba, but for most of my life, was raised and lived in Miami, FL. I moved to the Fort Myers area in Florida in 2013.
Feel free to look below at my highlights describing my teaching experience.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Florida International University.
I’m a certified teacher (K-12) and I teach adults as well.
I have been teaching music in the state of Florida for almost 11 years as a certified teacher. I also have a music business in which I teach piano/voice lessons outside of my current teaching position. I have taught over 900+ students over the last 10 years. Besides teaching piano and voice, I have choreographed dances and written scripts for my current elementary students that enjoy drama in the current school I teach. One of my long-term goals is to produce a personal CD of my own songs that I have written.
I have a lot of experience in making instructional videos as I have been building a Youtube, Instagram, and FB channel for the past 2-3 years. In addition, I have played piano for almost 30 years. Most of my musical influences come from these genres: Classical music, Latin Music, Jazz & Latin Jazz, Pop, Rock, Broadway and Musical Theatre, Disney, Film Music, Heavy Metal, Hip-Hop, and more!
